It is inexpensive to produce, and the right policies can ensure widespread access to those in need, disrupting the traditional marketplace. added to that the plant can produce a wide variety of effects more positive than to those that come from even short term pharmaceutical use. the plant can produce positive mental and physical outcomes if used in a cautious and appropriate manner. while the plant has helped people for 100s of years across the world its medicinal properties have come to attention again recently due to what can only be seen as a pharmaceutical disaster created by themselves in the form of the ongoing opiod crisis. prescription opiods are being used to treat chronic pain or mental health difficulties however the potency of these opiods and the fact they are extremely addictive have resulted in fractured communities , lost individuals and death. families have suffered individuals have suffered and communities have been impacted enormously by the over prescribing of prescription drugs even here in Ireland where there is no cannabis based alternative available legally for us as citizens. many American states have legalized the plant and witnessed crime rates and pharmaceutical related deaths drop. from experience i can tell ye that pharmaceuticals do not treat mental health issues well they have the opposite effect taking away ones consciousness and peace of mind while altering their mood significantly. although illegal here in Ireland, medicinal cannabis is the healthier alternative to dealing with ones mental health . i can say without haste it does ease anxiety and suppresses ptsd symptoms which can have a detrimental effect on ones everyday living while also helping an individual overcome depression and yep thats just the mental side of it and thats what i will be focusing on. THC is an active ingredient in Nabiximols, a specific extract of Cannabis that was approved as a botanical drug in the United Kingdom in 2010 as a mouth spray for people with multiple sclerosis to alleviate neuropathic pain, spasticity, overactive bladder, and other symptoms before prohibition was introduced cannabis was the main natural healing substance used worldwide however when the profits of big pharma were totaled up and tallied., the emphasis was put on these companies to design pills for widespread cures. however over prescribing and the addictive nature of the aforementioned has caused an epidemic especially in terms of opiod usage which is significant too here in Ireland. Many lives have been lost due to addictive behaviors and the usage of certain opiods such as Tramadol. sometimes we forgot that these legal medications APPROVED BY OUR GOVERNMENTS AND ARE SOMETIMES NOT IN OUR BEST INTERESTS. while the plant and its methods of use will not suit everybody i can see how it can be effective in ones own treatment of mental health issues compared to the dangers presented by legal opiods. mental health should be ones priority and therefore a treatment approach with the least amount of risks should be encouraged.
